 100 ਘਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ, ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ 2 ਲੱਖ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ, 20 ਮੀਟਰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ

 ਮਦਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੋਰੋਟਾਣੇ, ਚੀਫ਼ ਬਿਊਰੋ, ਜੀ.ਏ.  News, ਜਲੰਧਰ, 15 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2022 : ਪਾਵਰਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਇਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੰਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।  ਹਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮੀਟਰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ME ਲੈਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।  ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਘਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੀਬ 20 ਮੀਟਰ ਤੱਕ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਪਾਈ।  ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਮੀਟਰ ਟੈਂਪਰ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੀਟਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਸੜ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਜਾਂ ਸੜ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ।  ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।  ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 3 ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੀਬ 2 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਖਪਤਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੀਟਰ ਨਾਲ ਛੇੜਛਾੜ ਕੀਤੀ, ਦੂਜੇ ਨੇ ਮੀਟਰ ਸਾੜ ਕੇ ਰੀਡਿੰਗ ਲੁਕਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਨੇ ਕੁੰਡੀ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਮੀਟਰ ਹੌਲੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।  ਇਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਮਈ ਲੈਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੀਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।  ਇਨਫੋਰਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਚੀਫ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰ ਰਜਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।  ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਪਰ ਜੋ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।  ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਮੀਟਰ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।  ਇਹ ਮੀਟਰ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਫੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਸਫਲ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Powercom's enforcement wing raid continues

 Checking in 100 houses, 2 lakh fine on electricity thieves, 20 meters sent for checking on the basis of suspicion

 Madan Singh Korotany, Chief Bureau, G.A.  News, Jalandhar, April 15, 2022: The Enforcement Wing of Powercom is conducting raids in the city and the countryside.  Every other day * more than 50 meters are being taken off on the basis of suspicion and sent to the ME Lab for checking.  On Thursday also, the teams of the Enforcement Wing raided more than 100 houses and lowered about 20 meters.  In this, some meter tampers were found and the meters which were damaged due to some reason, were burnt or were burnt, then electricity theft came out from them.  Due to this, the officers of the wing took action against theft of electricity.  In separate cases, 3 consumers have been fined about Rs 2 lakh, in which one consumer was found to have tampered the meter, the other tried to hide the reading by burning the meter and the third slowed down the meter by latching.  The officials of the Enforcement Wing said that the meters which are being checked in the ME Lab at present, can also come to the fore in electricity theft.  Enforcement Wing Deputy Chief Engineer Rajit Sharma said that many times consumers are appealed not to steal electricity, it is their loss.  Electricity theft will happen once, but the fine that will be imposed will be difficult to pay.  He said that the work of installing smart meters in the city is going on at a brisk pace.  These meters are considered successful to a large extent in preventing electricity theft.
